( Me at my place )
I am coming out loud and proud and declaring the following:
1. I am an Aussie white bloke of European descent !
2. I am heterosexual !
3. Although non religious I tend to believe in the so-called Christian values/beliefs !
Sir Mike's Comments 1/12/2015.

Subject: ' Aussie Goods & Services Tax '.

( The information I have gathered here was from various sources - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia,
Australian Bureau of Statistics, Australian Taxation Department plus various newspaper archival sources )

People have you noticed that the people calling for the GST to be increased to (15%) are either pollies or their bosses the bureaucrats because they want to spend it or the people that CAN MOST afford it!!!

I don't see anywhere where the general populous - the Aussie plebbs - are saying " Yeah man bring it on ".

No! because any of us that have been around long enough know that the average Aussie plebb that earns
$50,000 PA or less - which are in the majority by far - will again bear the brunt of this tax increase as we do with any increase of taxes, charges and fees across the board of all three levels of this over governed nation of ours !!

Forget about these one off subsidies paid to pensioners and low income earners that is just smoke and mirrors because it stands to reason they are "One Off's" especially with the GST because that is based
on the price paid for the "Goods & Services"and therefore as the value of the Goods & Services rise so does the value of the tax -
Definition-
Quote:
From the Australian Taxation Office.
Goods and services tax (GST) is a broad-based tax of 10% on most goods, services and other items sold or consumed in Australia.
Generally, businesses and other organisations registered for GST will:
Include GST in the price they charge for their goods and services and claim credits for the GST included in the price of goods and services they buy for their business. unquote.

Therefore put simply?
If the value of the goods and service is one dollar then the GST is ten cents!
If the value of the same goods and services are increased to one dollar fifty the GST is increased to fifteen cents.
If the value of the same goods and services is increased further to two dollars then the GST is
increased to now twenty cents.

So! surely the question must be asked of our pollies why the need to increase the percentage from ten to fifteen percent
? when based on the final price of the goods and services we currently empty our
wallets, purses, pockets and savings
generally more every time there is a hike in the price we pay without any increase in the percentage required??

Answer??

1. GREED!!! by this nations administrators across this over governed nation of ours!!

2. Total amateurish incompetence and the lack of ' Duty of Care ' in the management of the Nations
funds and resources!

3. Being ever unable to satisfy the " Nations Financial Black Hole " called bureaucracy!! the more they
receive they fatter they get requiring more financial food to sustain their bloated bodies!! they will never be satisfied - now 10 - 15 % - give it a few years they will want 20% on the bases that in general the Aussie plebbs had accepted the 15% ??

Oh yeah what choice do we have - paying taxes of any
kind is not a matter of choice !! in fact if you don't agree to  pay the GST you wont get the goods or service or with other taxes if you don't pay you could end up in jail – GREAT  CHOICE !!!!

4. Over the decades due to amateurish political and bureaucratic lack of duty of care the nations wealth that
was brought about when we were ? living off the sheep's back - as the saying goes - the mining and resource booms has been squandered to now where the countries treasury relies on the the international credit card to pay the nations bills at millions of dollars per day interest charges!!

There is in my view never a tax , fees or charges that is introduced that is planned, instituted to be
" Revenue Neutral " so if we believe that the " One off " governments subsidies will put anyone in front financially, especially the low income people, then we are totally kidding ourselves and believe the moon is made of cheese.

But what does happen on a regularly bases ofcourse is the various schemes become " Cost to Revenue Neutral " or worse, where due to over bureaucratic administration and Red & Green tape the schemes cost more than they earn as revenue ? hence the constant call for an increase in taxes
like the dreaded invasive regressive tax the GST that is generally a tax that is applied uniformly which means that it effects lower-income - in my view anyone under $50,000 PA therefore not the pollies or the bureaucrats - individuals much harder!!!!!

However over the decades the pollies and bureaucrats across all levels of government have lined their pockets at the expense of the average Aussie plebb to the tune of millions if not now billions in the way of salaries, conditions and retirement schemes, ? when was the last time you witnessed a retired
pollie or bureaucrat doing it financially tough??

Peter Costello an Ex Liberal Federal Treasurer.

Peter Costello the worlds best Treasurer ??????? according to his mates?? who according to Peter
Costello helped to set up the Federal " Future Fund " which takes care of the pollies and public servants retirement funds that is brimming to over flowing with funds therefore it is only common sense that some of the GST increase from ten to fifteen percent will end up to further boost this rich persons, in comparison to the average Aussie plebb, retirement benefits scheme which is paid to them even if the Aussie voters kick them out for doing a lousy job??

Plus ofcourse the pollies and public servants increased salaries?overseas trips?pollies living away
allowance while participating in that, what is in the majority of cases, a " Talkfest " in Canberra!

Now I don't propose to go into any great detail in regard to the administration of the GST suffice to say
that the GST was introduced by the Howard Government - thanks to Meg Lees the then Leader of the Federal Democrats who as a political party have bit the political dust, so to speak, whose casting vote in the Senate got the GST over the line - and commenced on the 1/7/2000, supposedly - I say supposedly because in most cases it didn't!!!!!! - replacing the federal wholesale sales tax system (Yep) and designed to phase out a number of various State and Territory Government taxes, duties and levies such as banking taxes and stamp duty.

John Howard - Ex Aussie PM.

Ex Senator Meg Lees - and Ex Leader of the now defunct Federal Democrats Party.

Apart from the 'State Bank Account Debits Tax - BADT or BAD ' which was an Australian bank transaction tax levied on customers withdrawals from bank accounts with a cheque facility by cheque
or EFTPOS nothing else, including State Stamp Duty, of any consequence was phased out or stopped by the States or Territories, consequently the end result from the average Aussies point of view was a pathetic - CON JOB !!!!

A TOTAL RIP OFF AND CON JOB!!!!!! and there is absolutely NO doubt in my mind that if this increase
of five percent from ten to fifteen percent is allowed to go through it will be just the same because if and when it goes through many of the pollies pushing it through now will be off enjoying their Tax Payer funded retirement and it will be - Who said? What to Whom? and When? and how it was all a miss-understanding and it is all down to those bastards in the previous government - there to blame !!! as I am about to explain in my latest series of memoirs due to be in a bookstore near you just in time for Christmas.

Now to record all the various Aussie Governments Revenues for all levels of this over governed Nation of ours would mean that this email and consequently my blog at a later stage would be as
long as the average Aussie toilet roll so I am going to try and highlight the main areas which should concern us and show just, in my view, how we are being over governed and taxed into general poverty as a nation in order to satisfy the financial gluttonous political and bureaucratic appetite of our nations administrations:

Andrew Barr - The Labor Party Chief Minister for the ACT. Who is recommending a (15%) GST

? Who knows if Andrew Barr put as much effort into managing the ACT economy as he does into promoting gay marriage, Andrew Barr may not be calling for the Aussie Nation to tighten their already tight belts another notch to get the ACT economy out of the mess it appears to be in???

Jay Weatherill the current Labor Premier of South Australia – Who is recommending a (15%) GST.

Who - like typical Labor Party Leaders - are currently asking the Aussie Nation as a whole to financially dig deeper into their already depleted funds and tighten their belts a few more notches
in order to get their State of SA and the Canberra ACT Territory out of a financial hole that their administration finds themselves in by increasing the GST from (10%) to (15%)??
This is ofcourse a lazy unimaginative, uninventive, uncreative, pedestrian pollies way of filling a temporary financial hole until after the next relative elections then they will be crying poor mouth again!!

Crying Poor Mouth.

Lets take a look at some of the Nations Taxation Revenue: - 2013 - 2014

Commonwealth Government Taxation Revenue - in billions:
Taxes on income -                                                         $250 billion
Taxes on the provision of goods and services -                  $ 98 billion

State Government Taxation Revenue.
Taxes on property                                                         $ 30 billion
Employment payroll taxes.                                               $ 26 billion
Taxes on provision of goods and services.                             $ 11 billion
Taxes on use of goods and performance of activities                 $ 10 billion

Local Government Revenue - apart from State and Federal Governments Grants.
Taxes on properties only.                                               $ 14,738 million.

This is ofcourse in addition to the 100's if not 1000's of other across the board at all levels of
government fees and charges plus all the other and various utilities - water, gas, electricity fees and charges?

To me just looking through this maze highlights again where for such a small nation, population wise, of only
22 - 23 million we are so over governed and over taxed and it is quite unnecessarily putting financial burdens on an already financially stressed population that is living from one pay packet to another, that's ofcourse discounts the unemployed of an estimated 800,000 plus, with additional stress on the 2 - 3 million under employed or the working poor as they are referred too, to say nothing of us trying to manage on an old age pension, or from one maxed out credit card or ? in some, if not many cases, various credit card statements to another?? any increase to the GST let alone a (5%) increase would be a financial disaster!

I often wonder what planet the likes of Andrew Barr of the ACT and Jay Weatherill of South Australia
live on especially as they are supposed to be Labor - for the working people - pollies? it would be laughable if it were not so serious.

Abraham Lincoln Ex USA President.

On November 19,1863 in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania,USA Lincoln seemingly because he was not
well with an on coming case of smallpox, gave a very famous short  (2) minute speech to his troops in which part of Lincolns speech he stated the following :
- quote " and that government of the
people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth - unquote.

Daniel Hannon - Telegraph Blog.

Now according to Daniel Hannon of the Telegraph Blog in an article dated the 19/11/2013 he
maintains that Abraham Lincoln borrowed these words from a prologue in an English Bible written by John Wycliffe, sometimes called " the Morning Star of the Reformation " back in 1384.

Now quite frankly I don't really care who wrote it or who said it because as far as I am concerned
those collective words only apply to one level of the (3) tier levels of this over governed Nation of ours and that is the Local Government !!

State government has become, with modern technology advancing virtually daily, superfluous, redundant, unneeded and just another unnecessary financial burden on an already stretched public purse!!

The Northern Territory Government and especially the ACT Legislative Assembly are really not much
larger than many Aussie Councils if not smaller than some anyway.

As for the Aussie Federal mob in that rarified air and the very expensive tax payer funded ivory tower and "Talk-fest" of Canberra they are so out of touch with the average Aussie plebb it is
pathetic and embarrassing to hear, watch and observe in regard to the unprofessional and childish behaviour in both of the House of Reps and the Senate!!

People this current (10%) GST that increases in value with prices is financially crippling enough for the
majority of the ever increasing number of Aussies finding that just surviving financially and keeping a roof over their heads, cloths on their backs and enough food and drink to sustain them is bad enough but ??? another (5%) on top of that including fresh food is just going to push many well and truly over the brink!!

However Andrew Barr and Jay Weatherill earn plenty of money and probably live in lovely homes
they could take in the Aussie homeless - and I don't mean refugees - asylum seekers either.

Teflon Billy Shorten the now (15%) man - The Federal Labor Opposition Leader and alleged rapist.

Senator Richard Di Natali - The Head Federal Greenie.

Oh by the way in my view take little notice of the hand-wringing and the show of great concern in regard to
the Turnbull mob increasing the GST to (15%) by Labor and the Greenies because they introduced, and it would appear are hoping to re-introduce, a " Carbon Tax " which was a costly financial impost on the Aussie Nation as a whole were there is very little, if any?? goods and services that do not require energy in some form or other including fresh food and therefore is a far worse tax impost on this Aussie Nation.

In fact Senator Natali is on ABC Radio National as I type stating how disappointed he is about Malcolm
Turnbull actions currently in Paris because we contribute as a nation to 1.5% of the worlds pollution and global warming and we have one of the highest per capita in that regard plus Natali is concerned about the Turnbull mob taking funds out of the foreign aid budget to help the pacific Islands to our North?

? What sort of ideological con job is this bloke Natali trying to pull?? because you don’t have to be Einstein to calculate that if our contribution is only (1.5%) then the rest of the world contributes (98.5%) and as I have stated before ours is only “ A pimple on an elephants bum !!! “.

We might have one of the highest per capita contribution to global warming and again you don’t have to be Einstein to realise that our “ Carbon footprint Figures “ are not that bad per se, it is just that with such a small population of only 22 – 23 million the mean average looks worse than it really is???!!

Aussie is the driest continent on the planet and as such, and because of , we very rarely, if ever, have
little to do with the creation of our climate and weather patterns over Aussie so in actual fact even if Aussie was completely “ Carbon pollution Free “ and totally “ Renewable “ this would virtually have “ ZERO “ effect on Aussies weather because our weather is largely due to the actions of Mother Nature and the other ( 98.5%) of the worlds population!!!!!

So people whether it is the Turnbull mobs (15%) GST or the Greenies and Labors ( Carbon Tax ) it is taking the hard to come by money out the Average Aussie plebbs pockets, wallets, purses, bank A/cs
as a result of very poor political good governance and duty of care in regard to the hard earned tax payers funds that has our Nation now having to live on and pay our nations bills by the international credit card at millions of dollars per day interest!!
OR:
Some Greenie ideological theory that by taxing the arse of the average Aussie they can big note
themselves on the international stage and make themselves relevant? and also spend more Aussie tax payer funds on overseas aid and ignoring the “ Cradle to the grave “ problems we have in Aussie?
OR:
Be a Teflon Billy Shorten and play ‘' Wedge Politics “ to try and get himself above the (15%) voter satisfaction rating Teflon Bill Shorten is enjoying??

Ok people if your going to sit on your bum and twiddle and suck your thumb and hope these bunch
of amateur pollies and bureaucrats are going to dig you out of this pending national financial crisis that they collectively got us into in the first place then don't whinge when this additional (5%) GST across the board is just enough to put you and your family out in the street and you all join the ever increasing queues lining up for your one meal a day hand out from the various – already under pressure - charities??

Foreign Aid.

Foreign aid might be defined as a transfer of money from poor people in rich countries to rich people in poor countries
– Douglas Casey.

Sir Mike Howe - but you can call me mike.
