Subject: " Ebola and political point scoring !! "
( Me at my place
)
I am coming out loud and proud and declaring the
following
1. I am an Aussie white bloke of European
descendancy!
2. I am
heterosexual!
3. Although non religious I tend to believe in
Christian
values/beliefs!

Subject; " Ebola and political point scoring
"
The latest Ebola outbreak has killed more than 4000 people with I gather more than a further 8 - 9000 confirmed cases although this is very difficult to establish if correct because of the countries involved and the lack of effective communications and systems??
Compared to the following.
Malaria Statistics
Malaria is a deadly mosquito-borne disease that affects millions each year in Africa and around the world:
- Over half a million (627, 000) people die from malaria each year, mostly
- children younger than five years old.
- There are an estimated 207 million cases of malaria each year.
- Although the vast majority of malaria cases occur in sub-Saharan Africa,
- the disease is a public-health problem in more than 109 countries in the world,
- 45 of which are in Africa.
- 90% of all malaria deaths occur in sub-Saharan Africa.
- Malaria costs an estimated $12 billion in lost productivity in Africa.
- When insecticide-treated nets are used properly by three-quarters of the
- people in a community, malaria transmission is cut by 50%, child deaths are
- cut by 20%, and the mosquito population drops by as much as 90%.
- It is estimated that less than 5% of children in sub-Saharan Africa currently
- sleep under any type of insecticide-treated net.
- It is estimated that a child dies every minute of malaria

About Tuberculosis | Aeras
www.aeras.org/pages/about-tuberculosis
Many
people think of tuberculosis as a disease of the past, but the reality is that
TB is an
urgent public
health crisis. Each year, more than 8.5 million people
become sick with
TB and 1.3 million people
die of the disease.
In
fact, TB
is the leading cause of death
among people living with HIV, causing
one out
of every four deaths. It is also the
third leading cause of death
for women, affecting
people during their most productive years (ages
15-44)
Yet we have various pollies
making political capital for reasons better known to themselves out of other peoples misery in regard to the
out break of Ebola which I might add has been known about since early this
year 2014 and does break out on a regular bases so ? where was Tanya
Plibersek the Labor Party Deputy Opposition
Leader and Shadow Foreign Affairs & International Developement
Minister and Greenie Senator ( and a medical Doctor
- retired ) Di Natale back earlier this
year and for many years prior
to that in regard to Malaria –
refer above - and Tuberculosis – refer above - which has and has every
chance in the future to
far exceed the deaths caused by
Ebola???
Julie
Bishop.
Maybe the fact that Plibersek's opposite number
in the Abbott mobs government the Minister for Foreign Affairs Julie Bishop
has done such a good job as Chair
of the United Nations Security Council where
reports state quote " Julie Bishop
has conducted herself with poise and professionalism " unquote especially over
the downing of Flight MH 17 over Ukraine and now
the Iraq/ISIS saga that Plibersek MP considers that she
has some catching up to do like " Lets
force our military to put themselves
into harms way by sending them off to
care for foreign nationals in foreign countries with no
concrete plan ' B ' should they catch the Ebola virus?? something I very much
doubt she would not want her
families to do!!! " just
to - in my view - as the Shadow Foreign Affairs
Minister big note herself with
the International
Community? bugger
us Aussies!!
I totally agree with the Abbott mob and that is
a governments prime and overriding responsibilities is to their own
people first because lets face it if we send our medical teams overseas and we have an
out break of Ebola here which ofcourse with modern air travel currently that
is more than possible ? who
will come to our aid considering the vast
distances between us and the nearest
modern medical facilities capable of helping
us??
Plus would they risk sending anyone with the
real fear that their people may take the Ebola virus back with them when they
return??
Could they afford to have their medical teams in
quarantine when they return for some ( 21 )
days
? " HOW LOW CAN
A POLLIE GO TO SCORE POLITICAL POINTS WHEN IT CONCERNS THEIR POPULATIONS HEALTH AND WELL BEING
AND SAFETY???? "
Tanya Plibersek Deputy Labor
Leader.

Ebola crisis: Tanya Plibersek calls
on Government to do more to fight outbreak in West Africa
Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
Broadcast: 16/10/2014.
Reporter Tom Iggulden.
RICHARD DI NATALE, GREENS SENATOR.Because
there are no votes in poor, black Africans
dying
However I realise that Indonesians, Sri Lankans,
Indians, and people from Thailand are not necessarily black but they are
certainly not white Europeans but never-the-less we went to their aid after
the 2004 India Ocean Earth Quake and the following Boxing Day
Tsunami which killed 100' s of 1000's of non - white
people!!
The extent these Greenies like Senator Di Natali
will go too get a " Head Line " is just beyond
belief????
Hear Hear!! especially when these pollies put politics and
their political self preservation before the interests of the Aussie
population!!
However if you are happy with that then " Good on yeah "
when life for whatever reason from a political point of view for you goes
pear shape then don't whinge!!
Mike Howe.
