People for a bloke that is about (4) months off of (74) years who along with my generation and those
before me lived through such things as just some of the following:

World wars and numerous other military skirmishes without anywhere near the post conflict care and
attention our military gets today but some how we survived and Aussie prospered despite of it!!!

However I remind everyone that the current - and it has been the case for decades - military are all
totally voluntary as compared to my generation and prior where many 1000's of us were called up and
made (3) offers (1) join the army? (2) prove beyond doubt that you are a conscientious objector and
ofcourse risk being accused of being a coward?? (3) go to jail and again be accused of being a coward
and in jail that is not a good position to be in??

I was proud to take the army option and even though the first day entering the training camp was possibly
the worsted day of my young life at that stage - everyone in authority yelling at me!! - I believe that in the
end it was the making of me as a young bloke just starting the long road of life!!

The army training soon highlights your weaknesses yet helps - if you let them ? - you build on your
strengths and when I had finished with the military I was physically fitter & stronger! and had great
confidence in myself and I walked tall - all 6' 3"/190cm of me - and was not afraid to look people in the eye
and not take the proverbial crap from anyone!!

The comparison between myself and my fellow army mates and the quite capable stay at home blokes
( Mummies boys! ) both physically and psychological was stark that is what I believe is required in this
country for men and women - not the killing part - but the boot camp type training however I believe
with some of the soft bellied male pollies and the motherly female ones that unfortunately wont happen??

National Unemployment - rising from the late 1970's,1980's to the early 1990's to 11 - 13 % and as we
know with our current " Mickey Mouse " national unemployment figures of say now 6% and rising!
the real figure like say in Tamworth NSW area is now over 20% and with youth figures in the Western
Suburbs of Sydney now 25% and climbing you can bet the figures of 11 - 13 % in the 1970's/1980's/1990's
would also be badly understated!!!

Inflation - in the 1970's & 1980's fluctuated between 6 and 10% and we throw our selves into a tail spin
these days if inflation goes over 3%??

Interest rates - from the mid 1970's to the mid 1980's from 14,82% to 16.03 % with overdraft and credit card
interest rates 21 plus %! now we go into a traumatic stress situation if the interest rate fluctuates anymore
than 6% - 9% and want the federal government with tax payers money/funds to guarantee the banks.

To state times were tough for the average Aussie would be a gross understatement because we
did not
have the support of the massive bureaucratic welfare system or the industrial legislation we 
have today! 
but there again I believe we were tougher for it! and if it had not been for the hard work and dedication 
of my and previous generations Aussies would not in anyway be as wealthy and a internationally recognised 
and established country it is today!!!

However I believe - and I know the majority of the like minded " Grey Nomads " I meet travelling around
Aussie do as well - a great network!! - that all our hard work with little to no assistance from any of the
(3) levels of this over governed country of ours - our wives got the princely some of say $20 - $30 per
(MONTH!!) child endowment per child which expired when the child reached 15 years in the majority of
cases? - yet we still fed,housed,educated,clothed - not designer label though in most cases unlike today's
kids!! set high standards of work ethic and a determination to take on the problems that confronted us
as a community/nation without putting out our hands for a free ride at the Aussie tax payers expense
every time we hit a hurdle!!

The cry of " Get the government and/or governments to pay for it !! " has become an every day occurrence
by the majority of the suburban populations of the under 45's these days and has been for a couple of
decades now because they have been spoilt and pampered by us because we wanted a better life for
them than what we had??

However this has been our failing because the average suburban Aussie family has become dependent
on tax payer charity where from the cradle to grave we have more people taking out of the tax payers
treasury than putting in!! hence the billions of unpayable government deficits across all (3) levels of
our governments which we are handing over to our future generations and with an aging population
ie; less tax payers!! a down turn in national trade! increasing unemployment ! Aussie has little chance
of rectifying without very drastic financial management.

This middle class/income very expensive welfare/handouts although continued - if not added to - by the
Labor & Greenie team was initiated in the halcyon days of Howard & Costello when the treasury was full
to over flowing with the windfall they got from the mining/resources boom which was used as vote buying
in the way of tax breaks,child payments, and subsidised child care etc; and is being perpetuated by this
ridiculous/expensive/nationally unaffordable parental leave scheme proposed by the current Abbott mob!!

? When do individuals start taking financial responsibility for their own offspring's as we and millions before
us did? because with the myriad of various methods of 
contraception available - not available 
in my day!!
- plus legal abortion available in most states surely there is no need for unwanted children ? you can afford 
them? have them! otherwise don't! that is ofcourse you are not an unmarried/ single Mum that has kids 
in order too be paid a pension as a stay at home Mum? and there are 10's of 1,000's of them in Aussie I 
know at least (4) of them!!!!

In my 54 years of working life I - like I am sure was the case for my and previous generations in general!!
never once put my hand out for tax payer - or any other for that matter - charity regardless how financially
tough things got and we got through using our own initiative, willpower,determination,resolve,commitment
and pride in achievement unlike the soft bellied whimps today that need the tax payers to wipe their noses
and bums for them at the slightest sign of a cold - not the flu!! - or upset stomach coming on.

According to the Aussie ABS as at the end of the 2013 financial year Aussies receiving a Disability Support
Pension of some $751 .oo per fortnight - plus I gather rental assistance etc; rose from 706,782 in 2005 to
June 2013 of 821,738! however the ABC Radio plus other media is reporting the figure to be 823,000 ??
round off so I have decided to take that! at a cost - are you ready for this ?? of 14.9 Billion!! yep " Billion "!!

Yep 823,000 say (3.75%) of this nations population of say 22,000,000 million are so sick to the point that
they can't work full time and have to have a tax payer - who in general are also having it tough and are
a diminishing factor with the aging population/increasing unemployment!! - welfare hand out to survive??
with an ever increasing percentage being for psychological,mental and post traumatic situations??

Now obviously people there are many and various Aussies and their carers that are in genuine need for
this welfare assistance!!! no question!!!!!!

However if the bludging! malingering! fraudsters in the caravan park I am currently in - and have been in
- and the feed back I am getting from the very extensive " Grey Nomad " network is anything to go by then
by popular " Grey Nomad " opinion (60%) of that 823,000 ( 3.75% of the population ) is a load of unaffordable
rubbish and has to stop!!!!

We gather that the switch from unemployment Newstart of $596.oo per fortnight to a Disability Support
Pension of $751.oo - a (50%) increase - is not only the value but the fact that the Disability Pensioners
do not have to look for work?? so we believe that some of these Doctors giving out the prognosis should
be put under some scrutiny and made to justify their actions - surely they are not some body of untouchables??

So come on people speak up because the bulk of the worlds problems has/is being brought about by the
pollies/bureaucracy!! either by their actions and/or combination of inactions due to the " Peter Principle "
- promoted to a position of incompetence? which I believe is the majority of cases! bias!laziness/lethargy!
short term self interest! political survival !expediency! WHATEVER???? the problem is their doing it with
our bloody hard earned taxes/funds and therefore should be held accountable!!

However if you are happy with the way it is then cop it sweet and don't whinge because you deserve all
you get!!!
