I am coming out loud and proud and declaring the following:
1. I am an Aussie white bloke of European descent!
2. I am heterosexual!
3. Although non religious I tend to believe in so-called Christian values/beliefs!

I realise that the title of my subject is not original but I believe it is appropriate for what
I
am about to say.

People when I joined the military - and I am sure it would be the same in the Navy and
Airforce - you are left in no doubt what you are there and being trained for and that is
to
when required - hopefully not ! - to kill someone and/or be killed in the process as a
result
of a cause or other a group of pollies/bureaucrats believe is a good idea at the time?
However when we board an aircraft barring some mechanical, technical and/or structural
fault plus bad weather we may have some concern for our safety after all there are 100's
of us stuck in an oversized sardine can travelling at many 100's of kilometers per hour at
30 plus 1000's of feet in the air and ofcourse accidents have and do happen. 
Even we adults knowing the possible dangers have faith and trust in the pilots and crew 
- otherwise surely we would not be there - that they will get you to your destination on time
and safely.
In so far as children are concerned it is alost blind innocents, trust and faith not so much
in regard to the pilots and crew but the shear fact their with adults that love them therefore
I believe the impact should tragedy occur no matter how brief is far greater!!
But as a non military person you would have absolutely no thought that at some stage of
the flight some low life human garbage was going to press a button and guide a highly
explosive missile into the plane you and your loved ones were travelling in killing you all
?? hopefully instantly??
The thought of the MH17 being only seriously damaged and falling helplessly out of the sky
and the absolute terror this would cause the passengers and crew in the final minutes of life
is just to horrible to contemplate !!!!
However we also have when it comes to " What price innocents and Trust ?? " a war going
on in Palestine between Hamas and the Israeli's where I gather to the minute over 460 people
have died excluding the maimed and injured of which 13 have been Israeli troops plus 70
Hamas fighters which ofcourse means as usual the women and especially the kids are
copping the brunt of the casualties!! WHY??
Well becuase a bunch of mainly male adults on both sides have decided to have a punch
up
with high explosives !! WHY?? because they can!!
This futile male thing - and it is across the majority of Mother Natures species not just
humans albeit we are far more devastating when we do it - has been done down the ages
where blokes start and have the punch up and the women and especially the kids cop the 
collateral damage which more often than not is by far worse than ever the combatants
suffer!!
 
There is a saying ? " If you want to survive a war join the military " because of the millions
of deaths caused by large scale wars some (50%) are innocent women and kids!!
 
Therefore whether it be the poor innocent people on the MH17 or the poor bastards of
women and kids being blown to pieces, maimed or injured in Palestine ? or any other
military conflict I believe it is nothing more than cold blooded murder by all the parties 
concerned !! and the ramifications of this flexing of testosterone will be felt by the women
first up because many have seen this before over the years ? however the innocents of the
kids will be prematurely gone and effecting them not only from their unnecessary and
unnatural physical injuries but psychologically scarred for life as well !!
Solution ??
I believe that it should be written into law that men have to commit a sexual act whether by
their own hand or with a partner at least once per day and twice on Sundays in order to
burn off the excess testosterone!!
Failing to do so after the third warning the court orders them to be castrated like you do
vicious dogs and sometimes cats because that usually calms them down quite a bit and 
they become less agessive.
Otherwise don't whinge when a war of some sort breaks out near you and a few explosive
shells start dropping all around you because it is in a blokes DNA!!! has been and always
will be !!
The only difference these days is that the boys toys are far more powerful! accurate! and
kill and destroy more efficiently and over a shorter period of time in order to save money !!
