" You have gotta be kidding me???"
People today we have had our PM Gillard announce that our nations revenue will be currently short by some estimated 12 billion dollars??
Yep 12 billion dollars!! and to add insult to injury in order to make up the short fall the Gillard mob are going to do what various pollies/governments/bureaucrats have done down the ages and that is make us plebbs pay one way or the other for there incompetence and lack of good governance/duty of care with our scarce! hard earned! tax payer funds!!
For the last 3 - 4 years I have been mentioning in mike's comments that all (3) levels of government of this over governed country of ours was heading into serious financial strife- some more than others - and this was not because I was putting myself up as some financial genius! it was because the so-called financial geniuses plus the very many and various commentators representing a myriad industries,organisations,governments around the globe were forecasting problems through every type of media possible!! so if the like's of little old me can hear/read about it how come this great army of federal bureaucrats armed with massive amounts of computer power available 24/7 who the good old Aussie tax payer pays collectively millions of dollars plus large bonuses could not do the same????WHY??
Well people here is a couple of reasons why I believe it is so?
1. Self opinionated arrogance by our we know best pollies and their bosses the bureaucrats where these mobs do not represent the majority of the Aussie population in general because on the whole they live in this rarefied air of Canberra or the various state parliaments where they believe what we don't know won't hurt us therefore cover ups is the order of the day!!
2. If there was not a pending federal election on the 14th of September this year I have absolutely no doubt this serious financial situation where through gross incompetence and the lack of a duty of care and forethought in handling this nations finances would be well and truly watered down in the hope that it would magically disappear with clever accounting and we tax paying mugs would never be any the wiser!! and over a period of time with a steady increase of taxes,fees and charges and a reduction in government services and expenditure the black hole would be partially filled??
As it is you don't have to be Einstein to see we are looking at possibly a decade or more even with a change in government - because I don't have a great faith that the Abbott mob will have all the answers because we will be only changing the jockey not the horse ie; the bureaucrats! and the jockey has only a shelf life of say 3 - 4 years if their lucky and the bureaucrats are well aware of that from decades of experience!!
Ok speak up people or cop the consequences because if you don't then you deserve all you get so don't whinge!!
